Job Description:
General Summary : Perform all aspects of portfolio management to
meet client objectives, while maintaining existing client
relationships and developing new business. Mandatory Duties and Job
Responsibilities: Foremost focus on managing client portfolios to
their investment objectives, while executing on the investment
philosophy of the firm Own the client lifecycle experience – build
client resumes, evaluate client risk parameters, assist client in
establishing and regularly revisiting goals/objectives,
create/adjust an appropriate investment plan, and consistently
monitor ongoing financial situation/investments Responsible for
broadening and deepening existing client relationships through
asset consolidation as well as positioning OIA and Bank resources
as components of the Trusted Advisor continuum Adherence to all
compliance mandates including but not limited to; senior (elder)
client reviews, annual (at a minimum) reviews for all clients,
documentation of all client interactions, maintaining awareness of
enterprise risk, etc. Strict observance toward utilization of all
relevant order management and Client Relationship Management
technologies Balance assets under management growth on both
increasing share of wallet and new client inflows, while
maintaining a focus on assets under management retention Work
within Wealth Advisor team structure to serve existing clientele
while establishing inroads to new business development Represent
Orange Investment Advisors in geographic footprint as needed. OTHER
RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance of client confidentiality and trust is
of the utmost importance Position requires ability to absorb large
amounts of information and be able to communicate opinions/advice
to Investment Policy Committee and clients and assist in developing
strategies to mitigate risk in client portfolios Decision making
can have long term effects on firm reputation and client
satisfaction Position requires regular communication with
management, colleagues and both internal and external clients
Prudent management of a miscellaneous expense budget EDUCATION,
CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor’s Degree; Series
65/66; 3-5 years of experience in the financial industry Preferred:
Professional industry designations: CFP, ChFC, CIMA as examples
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Knowledge of industry regulations as
well as internal processes and controls, procedures and workflow.
Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as be
able to work independently. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a
fast paced environment and demonstrate a proven track record of
multi-tasking with a strong sense of urgency. Must be detail
oriented and organized with excellent follow up, written and verbal
skills. Demonstrate ability to apply required regulatory and policy
requirements when making decisions Need to be able to work
collaboratively and to communicate ideas clearly as well as being
able to work independently at times WORK ENVIRONMENT: Flexibility
to work additional hours including nights, weekends and holidays,
as required. Typically, the noise level in the work environment is
low to moderate. Will have high volume of interactions in person
and over the telephone. Fast-paced environment. May experience
occasional job stress in response to job demands. Job requires both
office and travel to meet with clients and candidate must be
proficient in all aspects of technology PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Frequently required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Frequently required to talk and hear. Normal range of vision and
hearing abilities required. Mobility required greeting and
assisting employees and visitors. Frequently required to skillfully
operate a computer, telephone and other standard office equipment.
Travel between locations. Occasionally travel outside of work
location to attend meetings and training programs. Occasionally
lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Special Note: External and
