Job Summary The Patient Registrar will greet patients, register them into the system, collect money, and perform other clerical duties. The ideal candidate will have a medical background. Will work under general guidance with some expectation of autonomy. Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail. Has the ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Essential Functions of a Patient Registrar Register patients at the front desk. Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to complete appointment scheduling, cancellation, and confirmation requests. Provide the first available appointment by matching patient preferences with specific scheduling guidelines. Collect and coordinate accurate basic registration, demographic, and insurance information. Process multi-channel messages related to patient and physician requests. Functions as a team member to organize and prioritize responsibilities to complete daily work assignments. E ducation and Experience High School degree or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of prior medical coordination or similar experience preferred. What We Offer Immediately accrue PTO as you work!
