Organization partners with Franklin Templeton's distribution teams
and is responsible for the development and execution of marketing
strategy and related deliverables/communications designed to drive
flows and retain assets. The US Marketing Organization oversees the
end-to-end client experience and works with all related functions
to achieve a seamless journey for Franklin Templeton clients.Within
the US Marketing Organizations sits the Insurance Client Marketing
Director, responsible for developing and executing the marketing
strategy for the Franklin Templeton US Retirement, Insurance, & 529
organization, which includes roughly 50 professionals and accounts
for approximately $125 Billion in assets, across both the defined
contribution and insurance/subadvisory businesses.What are the
ongoing responsibilities of an Insurance Client Marketing
Director?Developing and Executing a Strategic Marketing Plan
- Partner closely with the Head of US Marketing to create and
execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the US Insurance
business that is consistent with the priorities across strategic
account and sales leadership.
- Support the implementation of this strategy via defined
engagement, including: content development, email campaigns, web,
multi-media, events, sponsorships, and support plans for key
mandates.
- Marketing tactics should be aimed at building brand awareness
and increasing interest and engagement for the investment
strategies Franklin Templeton offers in the US insurance space as
well as the products and solutions offered by our key distribution
partner firms.
- Continually evaluate marketing plan to determine efficacy and
incorporate any ways to further evolve and improve throughout the
year.A Focus on Collaboration Across Organization
- Support the Head of US Marketing on key initiatives meant to
support the overall insurance organization's priorities.
- Establish and maintain close relationships across our partner
firms' marketing and sales organizations, uncovering opportunities
to execute custom engagement strategies and joint campaigns.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other Franklin Templeton
marketing channels, particularly institutional and retail.
- Build relationships with insurance sales and strategic account
teams providing training on how and when to use specific marketing
tools.
- Work in tandem with insurance sales and strategic account teams
to create the right messages and content to be leveraged in the
field, with on-going connectivity as to how resources are being
used, what needs to change, and how we can continue to evolve and
improve the process going forward.New Mandate/Product Launch
Support
- As new products are launched, work in close partnership with
sales, strategic accounts, and our partner firms to establish key
deliverables to help support new product launches.
- Create and execute launch strategies that incorporate great
consideration for how best to enable our partners, train them on
key resources, and continually check back after launch to consider
day 2 needs.
- Continually share with our partner firms what insights have
been gained by our promotional efforts.Campaign and Content
Development and Execution
- Develop and execute product and thematic campaigns supportive
of key priorities.
- Employ a data-driven approach for all marketing campaigns and
share actionable insights with our sales partners.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business through marketing
led initiatives that engage a target audience through lead
nurturing.
- Execute against an effective marketing development process that
incorporates special consideration of how best to leverage
resources and accomplish goals in the most affordable manner
possible.
- Employ a compressive marketing brief process, bringing together
colleagues across all marketing functions to determine how best to
go to market as quickly and effectively as possible, always being
clear as to the intended goal and how best to measure success.Ideal
qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years experience in financial services industry, preferably
in sales or marketing
- Experience with custom insurance strategies
- Series 7 and 63 desired. Series 24 a plus
- An understanding of economic and financial concepts and capital
markets
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Digital-first and resource sensitive mindset
- Analytical approach to planning ensuring KPIs are established
and tracked for marketing efforts.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive approach to work with ability to anticipate
needs.
- A strong collaborator who can effectively work with colleagues
in other teams.
- A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple
projects/deliverables.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet
deadlines.
- Willing to constructively challenge the status quo.Compensation
Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and
valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed

and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration
in making compensation decisions including but not limited to
location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At
Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all
aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration
in determining compensation.We expect the salary for this position
