Job Description:
Leading the future in luxury electric and mobility At Lucid, we
set out to introduce the most captivating, luxury electric vehicles
that elevate the human experience and transcend the perceived
limitations of space, performance, and intelligence. Vehicles that
are intuitive, liberating, and designed for the future of mobility.
We plan to lead in this new era of luxury electric by returning to
the fundamentals of great design – where every decision we make is
in service of the individual and environment. Because when you are
no longer bound by convention, you are free to define your own
experience. Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds
in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we’re
providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate
and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more
sustainable future, then this is the right place for you. We are
seeking a highly technical and systems-oriented Product Manager for
our Charging & Energy Platform to drive the development of our
end?to?end charging and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) ecosystem
platform. In this role, you will own the underlying platform,
protocol frameworks, and system capabilities that power our
charging and energy experiences. You will collaborate closely with
system engineers, software architects, embedded teams, cloud
services teams, experience product manager’s and external standards
bodies to define and deliver a scalable, compliant, and
future-ready platform that enables AC/DC charging, bi-directional
energy flow, grid interoperability, certification readiness, and
more. Responsibilities Platform Vision & Strategy Define the
platform roadmap for charging and V2X capabilities, aligning with
vehicle programs, hardware roadmaps, and energy products. Develop a
platform conceptual architecture that spans vehicle systems,
wallbox/charger systems, cloud services, and grid interfaces.
Translate regulatory, standardization, and interoperability
requirements into platform-level capabilities. Technical & System
Leadership Work closely with systems engineering to define
end?to?end system behavior, interface contracts, and architectural
diagrams. Collaborate with embedded software, firmware, power
electronics, and cloud engineering teams to ensure robust and
scalable implementation. Drive cross-functional alignment on
platform APIs, communication pathways, and protocol stacks.
Standards & Compliance Expertise Serve as the internal subject
matter expert for key charging and energy standards, including: ISO
15118-2, ISO 15118-20 (Plug & Charge, V2X, ACDP, SLAC,
communication stacks) IEEE 1547 (interconnection requirements for
distributed energy resources) SAE J2847/J2931/J3072 (EV–grid
communication, V2G interconnection) OCPP, UL, NEC, and other EV
charging and grid-related frameworks Ensure platform designs meet
certification and interoperability requirements (e.g., UL, CSA, ISO
conformance, grid operator rules). Execution & Delivery Write clear
product specifications, platform requirements, and interface
definitions. Prioritize features using customer value, engineering
feasibility, architecture constraints, and compliance timelines.
Support testing strategy for interoperability, conformance, and
real-world charging/V2X scenarios. Participate in technical deep
dives, issue triage, and platform validation. Cross?Functional
Collaboration Partner with hardware teams on charger, inverter, and
power electronics roadmaps. Ensure seamless integration with energy
management systems, telematics, and cloud services. Work with
external partners (utilities, standards bodies, certification labs,
charger manufacturers) to ensure platform interoperability and
validation. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems
Engineering, or related technical field. 5 years of experience in
technical product management, systems engineering, or platform
architecture in EV charging, energy, or automotive domains. Proven
experience working with ISO 15118-2/-20, IEEE 1547, or other key
EV/V2X protocols. Strong understanding of EV architectures, onboard
charger systems, high-voltage domains, or DER interconnection
requirements. Ability to create conceptual and logical architecture
diagrams, system requirement specifications, and platform-level
documentation. Strong analytical and communication skills;
comfortable leading technical discussions. Preferred Experience
with bidirectional charging systems (V2H, V2G, V2L). Familiarity
with DERMS, energy management platforms, or inverter technologies.
Experience with interoperability testing (CharIN, UL, CSA, utility
sandboxes). Background in cloud?connected energy services, IoT
communication stacks, or charging network systems. Ability to
influence engineering execution while maintaining a strong platform
mindset. What Success Looks Like A scalable, extensible,
standards-compliant charging & V2X platform architecture. Strong
partnerships with engineering teams and clear technical
documentation. Smooth interoperability across chargers, utilities,
grid programs, and future energy features. A roadmap that
future-proofs the platform for emerging charging standards and
technologies. Salary Range : The compensation range for this
