You’ll assess mental health needs, implement individualized care plans, and support patient safety in a secure, therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and behaviors - Administer medications and monitor for side effects or reactions - Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques - Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams - Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies - Maintain a safe environment in accordance with facility policies and state regulations Requirements: - Active RN license (Compact license preferred) - BLS certification required; CPI or PMAB certification preferred - Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience - Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills - Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
