Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM (Full-Time) Salary: Between
$90,000.00 and $100,000.00, based on relevant experience,

meet the needs of children with cerebral palsy and their families,
Pillar Care has steadily grown and now delivers life-affirming
services to infants, children, adults and their families throughout
northern New Jersey through 27 program locations. Pillar Care
provides specialized programs to meet a wide range of educational,
therapeutic, and social needs of people with various disabilities.
The agency serves over 1,650 families each year and employs 700
full- and part-time employees. Position Summary: Pillar Care
Continuum is seeking a dedicated and innovative Occupational
Therapist / Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist to join our
interdisciplinary team. This role combines therapeutic expertise
with cutting-edge assistive technology to support student learning,
independence, and overall development. The OT/AT Specialist will
assess student needs, develop and implement individualized
treatment plans, collaborate closely with educators, families, and
support staff to promote student success in educational settings.

Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive formal and informal
assessments; analyze data and document progress with clarity and
precision Develop educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives
in collaboration with teaching staff Design, implement, and adjust
therapy programs for both individual and group sessions Maintain
accurate and timely documentation using required formats and
service-related records Participate actively in department, staff,
team meetings, and school clinics Coordinate and schedule
specialized therapeutic sessions (e.g., aquatic therapy,
hippotherapy, if applicable) Design, fabricate, and maintain
therapeutic equipment; recommend and monitor appropriate assistive
technology solutions Supervise Therapy Assistants, Aides, and
students; cosign documentation per professional standards and
licensing regulations Maintain open and effective communication
with families, guardians, and child study team case managers
Collaborate with classroom and resource staff to integrate therapy
into daily routines and learning environments Engage in ongoing
professional development and provide in-service training as needed
Conduct home or community visits when necessary to support student
needs Identify candidates for Assistive Technology services and
support their inclusion in programming Plan and implement
specialized educational activities and equipment, including:
Alternate access methods Augmentative and alternative communication
systems Adaptive play and pre-vocational tools Powered mobility and
mounting systems Environmental control units Train and coach staff,
families, and students on AT tools and strategies Stay current with
evidence-based practices, emerging technologies, and intervention
methods in AT Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
or Pillar management Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in
Occupational Therapy (Master’s preferred) NBCOT Certification Valid
NJ Occupational Therapy License NJ Department of Education OT
Certification Strong foundation in child development, therapeutic
techniques, and assistive technology Excellent communication,
