What You’ll Do As a Recovery Assistant ABI, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) on their journey to greater independence and improved quality of life. Your work will focus on empowering individuals to achieve their goals and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist individuals with ABI in their daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. - Provide guidance and encouragement to help individuals develop self-advocacy and independence. - Support community integration by accompanying individuals to appointments, activities, or events. - Collaborate with families and team members to create a personalized care plan tailored to each individual’s needs. - Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made. No prior experience is required, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential. Required Skills and Qualifications: - A genuine passion for working with individuals with disabilities or barriers to inclusion. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each individual.
