Surgical Tech Location: Patchogue, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,227 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:00 Experience: Minimum 2 years of CST experience required. License: NY license required. Certifications: NBSTSA (required), BLS (required). Must-Have: 1:1 patient ratio experience required. Description: We are seeking experienced Certified Surgical Technologists to join our Operating Room team. This is a high-acuity Level II Trauma facility with a wide range of surgical specialties. We are looking for a reliable, skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment. The shifts for this position are for 4x10 hours. The facility does not offer a blocked schedule. Please do not apply if you are seeking a blocked schedule as it will not be granted. This assignment is for only 8 weeks, and the department cannot accommodate excessive time-off requests. Please do not apply if you have more than 4 days of requested time off. No call is required but is optional. Weekend coverage will be required for 1 to 2 weekends per month based on volume. Required experience includes general OR, teaching hospital, and trauma. Preferred experience includes community hospital and pediatric general OR. Patient age groups include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Required skills include performing procedures in various surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, neuro surgery, orthopedic, and trauma cases, among others. In addition, familiarity with scopes and fiber optic equipment, cell saver, and electrosurgical units is essential. Knowledge of universal protocol and aseptic techniques is necessary.
