Description: Medical Referral SpecialistConnecticut Institute For
Communities, Inc. (CIFC) seeks to hire a full-time competent and
compassionate Medical Referral Specialist to join our team. As a
Medical Referral Specialist, you will be responsible for
coordinating referrals and authorizations with healthcare providers
and insurance companies. You will also be responsible for ensuring
that patients receive the necessary care and assistance they
need.Responsibilities:Coordinate referrals and authorizations with
healthcare providers and insurance companiesCommunicate with
patients and families to explain the referral process and answer
any questions they may haveVerify patient insurance coverage and
ensure that all necessary information is entered into the system
accuratelyCollaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patients
receive timely and appropriate careProvide excellent customer
service to patients and healthcare providersMaintain accurate and
up-to-date records of patient referrals and authorizationsBuild and
maintain relationships with regional specialty officesExecute
referral protocols and documentation timely and accuratelyIf you

High school diploma or equivalent (required)- Associate's or
bachelor's degree (preferred)- 2+ years of experience working in a
healthcare setting- Strong communication and interpersonal skills-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Excellent

computer systems and software, including electronic medical records
